2023 Performance Series Applications Now Open

The 2023 Performance series applications are now open to musical performance groups. Groups of trios or larger are invited to apply for the 222 East Concert Series and Brand Summer Music Series by January 27, 2023, at 5pm. Each performance series are a great opportunity for musicians to bring community members together for an evening full of lively music and dance. Genres debuted at past performances have ranged from Latin, Jazz, Rock, Swing, and more.

The 222 East Concert Series is an outdoor concert series at the Artsakh Paseo located in the Downtown Arts & Entertainment District. Performances will take place Saturdays in Fall 2023 from 5-6pm, and participating ensembles will receive a stipend of up to $1,200 per performance. Glendale residents look forward to this concert series each year, performances are frequented by visitors to local businesses and children and families.

Last year’s concert series brought lively dancing to the Artsakh Ave with a wide variety of music such as Salsa Caliente, Tehran’s Gagas, folk music from Joshua Leon and One Outta Ten, Big Butter Jazz Band,  and Cassia de Mayo Quartet.

Tres Souls performs at Brand Summer Music Series 2022

 

​The Brand Summer Music Series is an outdoor concert series located on the hillside area behind the Brand Library and Art Center. Performances will take place Fridays in Summer 2023 from 7-8:30pm, and participating ensembles will receive a stipend of up to $1,700 per performance. Loved by residents, concert attendees often bring their own chairs and picnic amenities and sit on the grassy hill near the stage to enjoy the performance. As the summer sun sets across the the Miradero Estate lawn, families gather and dance to the music every year.
