Get Your Finances in Order with Financial Literacy Workshops for Teens and Adults

Glendale Library, Arts & Culture’s Montrose Library is offering a new type of library program: Financial Freedom workshops for teenagers and adults beginning in February. What is a Financial Freedom workshop you may ask?

Financial Freedom workshops are a six-part monthly series of classes where teenagers and adults learn the essential steps to build a secure and robust financial plan to meet their financial goals. Participants will learn about budgeting, the benefits of savings accounts, how to manage and pay off debt, and the basic steps of investing.

Teens interested in learning about financial matters will also have the opportunity to earn up to three hours of community service credit when they register and complete a workshop.

Glendale Libraries also offer a variety of self-help finance books by leading experts in eBook and print formats. Some of the best financial literacy books you may want to check out to further your knowledge are available on the Library catalog page. Check out this list of book recommendations.
